by the editorial team of SkalaTimes
A distinctive business event that brought together Cypriot entrepreneurs and professionals took place yesterday, Thursday, June 25, in Larnaca, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Larnaca, aiming to foster meaningful collaborations, trust-based relationships, and new business prospects.
The event is part of the activities of BNI (Business Network International) in Larnaca, which over the past three years has established itself as one of the most active professional networking communities, offering its members a structured environment for exchanging referrals and developing collaborations at both local and international level.
The event was honored by the presence of Deputy Mayor Jasonas Iasonidis, who represented the Mayor of Larnaca, Andreas Vyras, who was abroad at the time.
During the event, speeches were delivered by the President of BNI Larnaca, lawyer Maria Athanasiadou, the Director of BNI Larnaca, Dimitris Dimitriou, and the National Director Cyprus, Yiannis Stephanou, who highlighted the growing momentum of the network on the island and the importance of systematic business networking.
A brief greeting was also delivered by the Deputy Mayor, who underlined the importance of initiatives that strengthen local entrepreneurship and contribute to a more collaborative economic environment.
The keynote speaker of the event (motivational speaker), held on the occasion of the third anniversary of BNI’s presence in Larnaca, was the well-known speaker Nakis Theocharidis, who shared experiences and practical examples on the power of relationships, consistency, and business networking.
The philosophy of BNI is based on the principle of “Givers Gain” — the idea that success comes through contributing to and supporting one’s network of partners. With more than 355,000 members across 77 countries, BNI is currently the world’s largest and most recognized business referral network (bni.com), offering its members a structured system for generating business opportunities through trust and consistency.
The event in Larnaca once again confirmed that the strength of a business community lies not only in ideas, but primarily in the relationships built with continuity, consistency, and a shared vision for growth.
